I don't always understand storms. I don't understand why hurricanes and tornados have to completely demolish people's homes. I don't understand why people and situations completely change so you feel like you're picking up the pieces after an earthquake. I don't understand why there have to be things like depression and anxiety where you feel like you're drowning in your own mind. Luckily, God understands. Whether literal storms or the storms of everyday life, God does not create them just to cause destruction in our lives. Sometimes God simply calls the waters to be calm. Other times, He gives us more strength than we could ever have on our own to walk through these storms while He is holding us in His hands.
